Welcome to Pottering

Pottering Homewares was inspired by the peace and calm that comes with pottering around my home - the very act of pottering means being slow and intentional, relaxed and unhurried.

I wanted to share this feeling with you by making meaningful decor pieces easily accessible in a beautiful online store.   

But more than just selling décor, I wanted to consciously support Australian women who are building creative businesses through their craft.

Personally sourcing products from amazingly talented makers in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, I only choose pieces that I love, focusing on quality, practicality, beauty and sustainability.

I’m really proud that each piece we sell is made right here in Australia. Not just designed here, but handcrafted here – in small studios, by women-led businesses. Made in small batches, each piece is unique and has its maker’s mark.

Timeless in style and handcrafted with intention, our pieces are made to be lived with now and loved for years to come.

My hope is that by sharing the stories of the makers behind each piece, you will appreciate the warmth and intention that it will bring to your home, knowing it was thoughtfully handcrafted nearby.

Every piece that we source and sell has been made in Australia by talented artisans and businesswomen. By buying local, you are supporting multiple Australian small businesses and artists.

The slow and considered approach of handcrafting in small batches results in a higher quality, unique product for your home. No two pieces are the same.

Made using sustainable practices

Our makers all focus on sustainability in their processes, from using reclaimed timber to recycling clay. We join them in only using recyclable packaging.

Giving Back

Our decor isn't just about having a pretty home. We’re committed to giving back to charitable organisations that support women and their children in our communities.

We donate $1 from each piece sold to Zephyr Education, a Brisbane-based charity that provides school supplies to children escaping domestic violence, so they can make as smooth a transition as possible to their new school.

Zephyr Education’s nation-wide support helps initiate a fresh change for children as well as their mothers or carers, during what is a very challenging time. Because every mother deserves to see her children thrive.
