Welcome to Pottering

Pottering Homewares was inspired by the peace and calm that I feel when pottering around my home. The very act of pottering means being slow and intentional, relaxed and unhurried.

I wanted to share this feeling with you by making slowly and intentionally crafted decor ~ that is also beautiful and practical ~ easily accessible in an enjoyable online store.

But more than just selling décor, I wanted to consciously support Australian women who are building creative businesses through their craft.

I personally source products from amazingly talented makers in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, choosing pieces that I love, with a focus on quality, practicality, beauty and sustainability.

I’m really proud that each piece I sell is made right here in Australia. Not just designed here, but handcrafted here ~ in small studios, by women-led businesses. Made in small batches, each piece is unique and has its maker’s mark.

Timeless in style and handcrafted with intention, these pieces are made to be lived with now and loved for years to come.

My hope is that by sharing the stories of the makers behind the pieces I sell, you will appreciate the warmth and intention that has gone into each piece, knowing it was thoughtfully handcrafted nearby.

Our makers all focus on sustainability in their processes, from using reclaimed timber to recycling clay.

Pottering isn't just about having a pretty home. We're committed to supporting others through this business, including an amazing charity that is both important and inspiring.

Zephyr Education is a Brisbane-based charity that provides school supplies and uniforms to children escaping domestic violence, so they can make as smooth a transition as possible to their new school and continue their education.

Zephyr Education’s nation-wide support helps initiate a fresh change for children as well as their mothers or carers, during what is a very challenging time. Because every mother deserves to see her children thrive.

$1 from every piece sold at Pottering is donated to Zephyr Education.
