Just like our Makers, we prioritise sustainability in our operations at Pottering Homewares. Because decorating our homes shouldn’t cost us the earth.
We choose to stock products from makers who are conscious of their impacts and incorporate sustainable practices into their processes, whether they’re working with wood, clay, textiles or wax.
We order multiple items at once from our Makers to reduce the number of orders travelling to our warehouse.
And, where possible, we use recycled and recyclable packaging.
Our packaging
Each product is posted out wrapped in the same packaging that it arrives in our warehouse in. This reduces unnecessary waste.
We add our own Pottering Homewares branding to the packaging, to give it our personal touch.
We wrap the products in eco-friendly tissue paper that has been printed with no coating, acid-free on 100% paper. Our tissue paper has our pretty homewares graphic, which is great for kid’s craft, or it can be kurbside recycled.
We pop a sticker on the tissue paper, which is 100% home compostable.
We include a thank you card, which is printed on recycled and recyclable paper board, made out of 99.9% post-consumer waste.
We tape the packaging up with our branded water-based tape, which can be placed in your kurbside recycling.
The cardboard box we ship your products in has been made out of recycled materials and is sturdy enough to reuse.
Even the shipping label is plastic-free and can be composted!
