Just like the Makers behind the beautiful pieces I sell, I prioritise sustainability in my operations at Pottering Homewares. Because enjoying beautiful homewares shouldn’t cost us the earth.
I choose to stock products from craftspeople who are conscious of their impacts and incorporate sustainable practices into their processes, whether they’re working with wood, clay, textiles or wax.
Our packaging
I join the Makers' sustainability efforts by only using recycled and recyclable or compostable packaging. When your homewares arrive, you might find them packaged with:
~ the same packaging that it arrived in our warehouse in, reducing unnecessary waste.
~ eco-friendly tissue paper that has been printed with no coating, acid-free on 100% paper, which is great for craft and can be kerbside recycled.
~ a branded sticker, which is 100% home compostable.
~ a personalised thank you card, which is printed on recycled and recyclable paper board.
~ a cardboard box, which is made out of recycled materials and is sturdy enough to reuse.
~ water-based packing tape, which can be placed in your kerbside recycling.
~ even the shipping label is plastic-free and can be composted!
